The Kardashian's came, conquered and left!

Last evening I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the circus that was around the Kim and Khloe Kardashian launch.

I must admit I had been quite cynical about the kind of fame that launches careers and provides money that I only imagine to people who in a very real way contribute little to the world. I have never watched an episode of her reality TV show and have been uncertain about motives that cause someone to get married in such a public and expensive way only to see it end in 72 days.

That said, what I found was a very gracious, a very kind and courteous woman who embraced her fans and helped give everyone she could a good and happy experience.

After promoting her handbag range in Sydney yesterday, the 31-year-old Kim told marquee host Swisse in Melbourne's cup race day it would be "too much" for her to appear at the races on Saturday, waiving her $150,000-an-hour fee, the Daily Telegraph reports.

"All indications were that Kim wanted to fulfill her commitments once she landed in Australia, but has obviously changed her mind given her very difficult personal challenges at the moment," a Swisse spokesman said.

I could confirm that in some of the pictures she was very subdued. I am grateful for the chance to have met her and am very proud of the images I took.

I am so grateful to the management, security and staff of Westfield Shoppingtown they are tremendous.
