Art & About
I was in the city yesterday and walked past the glorious Queen Victoria Building, and where the statue of Queen Victoria was sitting on the throne looking upon her subjects, Sydney Council draped her in robes a little less Royal, it is part of the Art & About project where amongst other things they are dressing up the statues around Sydney sharing a different mode of expression. You can see where it is happening by clicking on the link below.
I took a couple of pictures of the Queen statue.
I also noticed a council parking officer using a digital camera taking pictures of cars in their exact place and time so she can prove the car overstayed the allowed time limit. I have even heard that there are some council car parks that are installing sensors in each car space that can sense when a car has exceeded it's allowable time limit, which will then sms (txt) the mobile phone of the parking officer so they can be "led" to the offending vehicle ready to impose a parking infringement.
Big Brother is alive and well.
Just a couple of shots.
