and still more nature shots

I have an excellent DSLR Camera, but I don't have a Macro close up lens yet but I do have the P100 Nikon Camera which is sensational, with it's built in 1cm Macro or "ON GLASS" Macro as I often refer to it you can see some images I took this afternoon that are soo close.

In the case of the rosebud, I have to tell you that this bud was small, it was only about an inch and a half tall or about 7cm. And when i took the picture, I was not looking for, nor could I see, until I put the images into the computer that there were some little critters on the bud. Can you see them? There are 5 that I spotted. 1 is almost completely blurred because it was actually ON the glass of the lens. See if you can spot them. I don't know if they are Aphids, Lacebugs or whatever, but it in the actual images it shows you a new fascination I am gaining for the macro or close up.

Generally speaking, I love photography because it teaches me often, to look, really look. I am so very grateful for this medium of expression.

Yup, they are aphids...I know because I have roses in my yard and aphids with them, too. lol!

That is one of the reasons I like photography, too. When I go on walks, I focus on just making it HOME! lol. When my girls go on walks or bike rides they take the camera and focus on the beauty all around. So when they bring home the camera and upload their photos, I always like to see what they've found interesting or pretty that I probably would have missed on the walk or bikeride.
