Last night with The Brewster Brothers

Last night I again had the distinct pleasure of photographing the amazing Brewster Brothers, guitarists and joint songwriters of the legendary Australian Rock Band called the Angels. They have gone back to their roots so to speak with just the two of them. The sound is different and very tight. They played at the Brass monkey in Cronulla, a small and very intimate venue with great food cooked by Jack the owner!

I was able to sit with them before going on stage and shared some great moments with John and Rick and John's sons Tom and Sam as well. They started talking to me about the short documentary on Adelaide (south Australian) TV on sunday night just passed. The Angels have an upcoming concert tour with the Adelaide art orchestra in April as well, and in the snippet from Postcards you can see them rehearsing in the studio and being interviewed and I shot those sequences on a dear friend Tristan's Mini Hi-Def broadcast camera. Thanks again Tristan. The footage was used for the TV special and kind made me feel quite special, considering that video is not my gig! They used quite a few segments I shot, and to have had that air on national TV was quite a treat.

I'm just glad they are still singing together...they are quite talented. I have to tell you, Emily has become their biggest fan in the states. The only cd we can find here of theirs is "The Brewster Brothers In Concert at the Port Fairy Folk Festival." I wonder...do they ever have tshirts at their concerts? Or some little tidbit of a souvenier? I've been meaning to ask you, if there is something like that could you buy one and have them sign it for Emily? Let me know the cost and we'll swap? You've created a monster with Emily in sending those 2 cds, Craig, lol! Also, do let us know when they will have a new cd. :)

Dear Tammy, the NEw Cd may not be far away, I have started working on that. It will be a re-hash of some songs and a re-mix of some new ones. I will ask them if they have Tee shirts and if they dont I might make one JUST for her. BUT I guarantee you a new CD once I have finished that, plus I will send her another Cd of a lady I just got home from photographing tonight. Thanks Tammy I have a great deal of respect for you and your wonderful family, and thank you Emily.

OH, If you wanted the Port Fairy one I can get that for you with their Shadows Fall album. My gift.

LOL, I can't tell you how much that would tickle Emily's fancy. :) :) :) I won't tell her, though...it will make a delightful surprise.

Also, the girls and I are wondering if Denzel is out of the hospital. Katie mentioned yesterday we should make up another small package JUST for Denzel. It was the goldfish he liked, right? Or was it the animal crackers? Remind us.

And please do update us on how he is feeling and if he's home now.

Yes Tammy and girls, Denzel is out, he is still on soft foods and has still very sore gums with stitches but the doctors and us have been so surprised that he has been so remarkably well, which means apart from the pain and stitches in his gums he is a little trooper!!

and yes it was the goldfish!! Love you guys. It is 1am on Friday morning here, and I just got home from a concert and have been processing the images already! I imagine that it is a bright warm day there in spring. Isnt this world amazing!

LOL, get some sleep, Craig!

I'm glad Denzel is home at least and on the mend. Hopefully his gums will be healed up by the time our package arrives. :)

And keep imagining a bright warm day here for us. We are actually expecting snow later today and then tomorrow. But it's 8am right now and the sun is shining so we are all in good spirits!!! Spring is definitely on its way.

Take care, you and your family. Talk with you later. :)
