Happy New Year - 2009!
Would someone please tell me where 2001-2008 went to?
It has been too long, though over the Christmas New year break I have made the choice to pull back from the grind and "chill" somewhat. I have been on a bit of a roller coaster with my time and energy levels and not to mention the emotions. That said I am somewhat recharged and can feel the sweet balance of my life returning to normal, or as close to it as I can muster. I went out only to a couple of peoples homes, friends and a neighbour's and did the family thing at Christmas, but other than that I was very selfish with my time. I hibernated and feel all the better from abstaining from the computer and telephone. After watching in the midnight fireworks from my armchair, and feeling incredibly "vibey" for the coming year, I slept just for a couple of hours and then went out to Warriewood beach in Sydney's north to watch the sunrise. We got up at 4 am and left the house by 4:20 and arrived to what seemed like a foggy miasma. I stayed there on the beach whilst the family stayed within the car, and I was feeling somewhat saddened at what appeared to be a non event, THEN I noticed the sun peep over the horizon, and as it would happen, the fog caused a filter type effect to isolate the shape of the sun without its glare, and I got some brilliant shots. I was so happy, though as quickly as it arrived the sweet spot of light had gone, and the glare and brightness returned. I thought I would share some with you. I am so grateful to have witnessed this, I took it to be somewhat reminiscent of the prevailing economic opinions around that will hopefully filter out the glare and allow us to truly see and live the best part of who we are and wish to be this year. Have a great year everyone, I just feel it will be momentous!

Where has time gone? It's hard to believe 12 months had elapsed between those special sunrises. As usual, your photos are simply beautiful. Thank you Craig. More power to you. Rise and shine brighter this 2009.
Happiest New Year to you and your lovely little family.
