A Christian Easter message...

Regular visitors to this blog will know of my reluctance at times to make many references to my Christian beliefs. This is largely due to the fact that this blog is reserved mainly for my photographic leanings and perceptions. I have felt today however that in the midst of this world of rush and political hot potatoes that distract our attention and gaze, that the meaning of the very time we celebrate is almost dimmed. I have been reminded from some Greek, and Italian friends in recent days that last night and over this Easter period, that Catholics refer to as lent, that the threads of their beliefs are very much apart of who they are. I affirm that I am a believer in God, and believe that his son Jesus Christ gave his life as a part of a very special plan for all of us.

As Father Brian reminded us on television this morning, "be kinder to one another, remember the people are less fortunate than we are." I hope that in between the Easter Eggs, the relaxing days off that I along with many people have been hanging out for that we treat our fellow men and women a little more kindly, even the ones who cut us off on the road.

This video on You Tube is simple and not preachy, but serves to softly remind us of something very selfless and divine.

a Blessed Easter to you too........

They walked away, heads bowed, tears streaming, defeated and feeling lost and afraid.

Everything they had placed their belief in, a new bright future was gone – hope was buried in that tomb!
