WENDY MATTHEWS @ CROWN in Melbourne

Wendy Matthews, a Canadian born, but nationally acclaimed singer is returning to the stage at the Crown Casino complex in Melbourne on Friday 6th May. I have come to observe Wendy over a few shoots and concerts, the most notable was the Neil Diamond concert at the Acer Arena where Wendy was Neil's support act and this amazing woman walked leisurely onto that stage and had the 20,000 strong crowd singing and cheering her on.

I must say that actually being on stage with her in front of that vast crowd, albeit off to the side and trying to be inconspicuous, was a great thrill. There was a palpable feeling of bonhomie toward Wendy from the crowd and it was a truly wonderful moment for me I wont forget in a hurry.

With her two friends and very accomplished musicians Wendy was sensational.

I can honestly say that there are few opportunities in life where you get to see and experience something truly special and unique, but finding yourself in Melbourne on May 6 might be one of them. Wendy has this beautiful ability to sing and touch your heart. Whilst singing she can brush away the cobwebs of memory and help you recall moments in life that were meaningful and fun. She can serenade you through her extensive catalogue and have you dancing and laughing and when she smiles, it is infectious.

I personally believe that when she sings Token Angels, or Lets Kiss (Like Angels Do) she is speaking from personal experience, She is one!
