Aria

Some years ago I saw and heard this amazing piece of music called Aria, performed by a most extraordinary orchestra and two Divas whose voices pierce the soul. I dont recall what angels sound like but the Blonde lady hits the right notes for me to imagine she is one of them.

It was sung as a piece at Yanni's concert live at the Acropolis and I was referring it to someone earlier this evening and listened to it again and had tingles at the purity and beauty of the sound, all over again. Watch it right to the crescendo! it is amazing!

Yanni is a self-taught pianist and musician who began his career by giving recitals for family members though he had no formal training and could not read musical notes. Dare to Dream was released in 1992. It was Yanni’s first Grammy-nominated album and featured "Aria", a song based on The Flower Duet and popularized by an award-winning British Airways commercial. Yanni is an amazing composer and showman, his video from which this piece was taken from Live at the Acropolis is deemed to be the second biggest selling video of all time! (Wikipedia)
