Kung Hei Fat Choi! - Happy Chinese New year 2011

Alright I know, I am a bit late to post these pics, but it is the first time I have really been able to upload some images from the great street event in Sydney city. It is the year of the rabbit and was celebrated with much fanfare and excitement. I was fortunate to be in the press area in the heart of the parade, and loved the vibe, the people and the warmth of everyone, and yes, even the rain. At the end of the parade a man was taking off his hat and invited to take a picture of me which I jumped at the chance at. It was a lot of fun that had a crescendo with the fireworks. I loved how Sydney siders just flocked to watch the parade, and the general mood was fantastic.
