Another Painting
I was asked to submit a painting to a gallery interested in exhibiting my style of work...really!
The poems text is:-
I stand where the ancients once stood
I have pondered as I’m sure they once would
over the length and breadth of land that is here
and on one's place in this transitory sphere
I feel the earth, I feel it’s grasp
it endears me to nature with a beautiful clasp
that brings new awareness with colour and hue
I know I will pass as the ancients did too
So let me express myself and find while I can
the beauty and meaning in this colour of man
Life’s meaning for me lies not on a chart
for the beauty of my expression lies in my heart.

No-one is more surprised than me, being as though I do not see myself as a painter, but I am comfortable in a medium that I can express myself in.
This is the latest work which will be exhibited from today, I called it the Colour of Man. The white writing does not appear on the original of course.
I was asked to present something in a painting that says something about the artist, so I wrote a poem on the canvas and left my handprint on it. I am excited and hopeful it will sell. This is the latest work which will be exhibited from today, I called it the Colour of Man. The white writing does not appear on the original of course.
