Damien Leith - A Man for All Seasons
I was fortunate to be the photographer covering a corporate event last week where another of Australia's Idol winners was performing, and had the opportunity to meet and photograph him. Damien Leith is of Irish descent who now calls Australia home. I found him to be a gracious and kind artist who really knew how to connect with his audience. I am glad I saw him. I wonder where he will be in a few years time, meaning that I think he has the right stuff to go far.

I have taken the time since posting this to write something more about Damien. I am so impressed by the viewers of this little post and their devotion to Damien that I wanted to add more. I will also show some of the pictures I took as well. I have had time to listen to his album and am very impressed with the content and style. Remember June is a great album. I have listened to it several times to try and pick a track that I think is the lead track and cannot really say I could isolate one single track, they are all good.
When I met Damien, I asked him for two autographs on the CD and he seemed genuinely pleased that people were asking him to sign his album. I have met a fair number of artists and have seen a range of emotions and responses over those times, but without exaggeration, Damien was a most humble and warm person. I hope he goes a long way. I know he has had a rough trot with the idol series leeching all the earnings, but hopefully he will triumph. He deserves it. You can count me one of those willing and happy to stand as his supporters.
If anyone wants copies of these pictures I will charge $15 for a 5x7 size incl postage with a donation going to the Sydney Children's Hospital in Randwick. Please email me.

Love this man Live. He is brilliant and so talented. Not to be missed.
Congratulations on not having any prejudices abd stating the truth. I love seeing and hearing Damien performing live. I also take the odd photograph or two. Not your qualilty of course. He is one of Australia's most under rated performers.
