Jaspal Jandu
I am such a fan of photography and images generally. I am often to be seen standing in front of a bilboard or large image for a beauty product or magazine staring and absorbing elements of the images that support or are designed to sell a product, I will look at how the light was taken or used and where the position of elements in the pictures was and study why.
I am a fan of Ruby Rideout's images, Evan Hunt and many, many other photographers, both professional and amateur. I love the way others see the mundane and ordinary things and interpret them. I think it helps me become better at what I do by striving to see things in my small sphere differently also.
With this love I have for the image in mind, and a love I have for nature as well, I saw these images by Jaspal Jandu and was mesmerised by them, by the hours it took him in preparation, the hours it took to travel to these destinations and the beauty that he has captured. I saw the images on line and was led to his website which you will find at the end of the post. Please enjoy these images from Jaspal and know that these are the sorts of images I aspire to, the sorts of imagery that can allow him to travel the globe, is also what I aspire to do. I bow to a master. Jaspal you are my hero! Thank you for capturing such beauty and wonder.
Panoramic photographer Jaspal Jandu has released a new book which is a culmination of four years on location in the earth's most dramatic landscapes.
Jandu's journey highlighted both the beauty of nature and the fragility of our planet's ecosystems.
All the wonderful pictures are owned and captured by Jaspal Jandu (ninemsn.com.au)
