The Angels in the Rocks Oct 13

Yesterday I had the opportunity of photographing Australian legendary Rock band, The Angels for some promotional images, possible poster shots, images for album and facebook. I have covered this band through its various line up changes for some years and found this shoot today to be a nice bookend to the images I have shot with them which number in the thousands. We werent together during the shoot for very long but I loved the day and the experience of working with these guys over the years. I wasnt going to wait, I thought I would put up some of my hard work and show some of the images I am very proud of. I agonised over the shoot, where I was going to have it, the time constraints etc. It was done on a shoestring budget, but the results are exceptional I believe and I am very proud of the photographic work I have created with this band and these great people over time. I have worked with the late Chris Bailey who I thought of often during the shoot, and also worked with the great enduring Doc Neeson. Whilst I acknowledge there have been difficulties between the band over the years and personalities, I state here categorically, that I respect each and every one of the members of the band, previous or current and wish them continuing success individually and collectively. I will never know the highs and lows of being in a band and the hours of of hard work and the relatively fleeting moments of great joy and fame but It has been a great blessing and treat in my life to have come to know these people and many other artists who have contributed greatly to my life and I am thankful our paths have met on the many occasions they have.
