What's up?

I was asked by a friend yesterday "what's up?", in the context of why I had not written on the blog for a while. So let me tell you. A couple of friends or colleagues and I have decided to open a photographic training course business which will run initially in Sydney , Brisbane and the Gold Coast and will soon thereafter spread to all states of Australia and hopefully New Zealand, doing some relatively simple things.

The plan is that we will teach people how to use their cameras and also the basics in photography. We will also be offering courses in low light / night and Fireworks photography, how to light models, and conducting walking tours around Chowder Bay, Sydney City and Brisbane and the Gold Coast sharing our photographic knowledge and experience in a friendly non-technical way for 3 hours each class. There is even plans to conduct photographic tours to Borneo and other places on the in the world. I wont give too much away at this stage, but rest assured it will be kicking off hopefully in the next 5 weeks. I am excited because I love sharing something I am passionate about. I love to talk, love to have an audience and if I can help provide opportunities for people to better understand photography and get the most out of it without making it a mathematics lesson, I think we are on an exciting ride ahead.

It has taken a lot of backend thinking and work on a number of fronts but I have so enjoyed the experience thus far. When I saw the new year in a few days ago I just felt that this was going to be my year...and it certainly is looking brighter as each day progresses.

I will provide full information and details when it is up and running!!!
