Stories From Here
I am rather fond of biographies and anecdotal stories about peoples lives and have consequently been working on an idea for sometime which has only now blossomed into a result. I have updated my Youtube channel to cater for what I hope will become a large repository of narratives that share stories and experiences about people. It is quite an undertaking moving a thought or an idea into actuality, it is laden with self-doubt yet somehow so richly fulfilling realising the dream - one step at a time. I have created a vlog (video log) called Stories From Here where I will interview people and share the stories of their lives. I have many people in my sights for future episodes but the inaugural episode is now live. Once you click on the link below, please make sure you go to the settings star at the bottom of the YouTube screen and make sure you select HD 1080 otherwise the standard viewing quality may as a default appear in a lower resolution. The first episode goes for 32 minutes and shares the story of a wonderful lady and artist who has had an incredible life. I am so grateful for her. When I approached her about my idea she was supportive, even knowing it was my first foray into what may be called citizen journalism. I am deeply appreciative and to have her write to me last night after she watched it full of praise and happiness was a sweet and rewarding feeling indeed. I am thinking my little attempt at emulating Australian Story on the ABC may be small, but no less important...or at least that is what I believe. I sincerely hope you enjoy.
