Vivid Sydney 2014

I had the wonderful opportunity to walk around Sydney's Circular Quay with new friend Lani, who is an accomplished actor, voice over guy, and photographer. Together we were able to just to walk around and capture a number of the highlights and goings on that were around this part of the city for the start of Vivid 2014.  Vivid is one of the premier events on the Sydney calendar. This event is spread throughout some 70 sites in Sydney that bring almost a million people to the event, and most of them with cameras! It is said to pump in some $20million for the 16 days of this extravaganza into the local economy. Vivid transforms Sydney into a wonderland of 'light art' sculptures, innovative installations and grand-scale projections for all to enjoy - for free. It is a beautiful blend of colour and movement into an artistic pot pourri that brings a great vibe to the city. I love it! Notwithstanding I am not a fan of crowds it is such a pleasure to witness and be a part of the community and their combined sense of wonder and awe.

All of my images were taken hand held and without flash.
