Wendy Matthews in concert at The Palms, Crown Casino Melbourne

I was in Melbourne last weekend covering the Wendy Matthews concert at The Palms in the wonderful Crown complex and loved the whole experience. I am a big fan of Wendy both personally and professionally. She carries herself with a quiet dignity, has a wonderful hearty laugh and is a warm and generous person.

She was performing on stage with her full band who are accomplished and wonderful people. Wendy was supported by Lucy Fisher a very talented lady who could play lots of instruments and composed her own music and was a true to delight to see and get to know.

I was photographing the concert and got some wonderful images which I share a few of here. Wendy is performing in a few places this year and I would strongly encourage you to go and see her if she is performing near you, and for heavens sake, if you are able to, go and se her even if she is performing no where near you, it will be a wonderful experience.To see where she is performing go to her website below and yes whilst it doesn't say so....yet, the images are mostly mine!

Whilst in Melbourne I stayed on Collins street in the heart of the CBD. I stayed at the Oaks on Collins in a small hotel room, but was interesting how they partitioned off the bed and bathroom with curtains, I actually quite liked it!
