it's all about change
I was reminded yesterday that there is nothing so constant in life as change. and thus it is.
I have long been a fan and a small creative contributor to a little musical group called the Brewster Brothers for some time as regular visitors to my blog will know.
I did the photography and graphic design for their very successful album Wounded Healer, and have been photographing the guys now for a couple of years. Rick and John Brewster, are the brothers and have become respected friends.
The Brewster's have for a long time been working and performing with a very talented muzo called Paul Robert Burton who has recently left the trio. He certainly added much to the Brewster's performance over the three years he played with them, and in a very real sense contributed to a very unique sound and vibe to the trio that really attracted audiences of all ages and musical tastes.
Paul's own career is blossoming and with the many people that musically surround him I am confident the future ahead for him is positive and exciting. Many of the tracks on his CD have influences that whisper of other cultures and influences, all which make a rich potpourri of musical appreciation.
I also did some of the photography and artwork for Paul Robert burtons album - the CD label I have included.
So whilst we may mourn the loss of Paul from the Brewster Brothers Trio, I, along with many others wish him well in his musical path. Now working with the likes of talented guitarist Andrew Toner and a host of other talented artists, I hope Paul will continue to weave his wand of musical enchantment that will please us for a long time to come.
The Brewster's on the other hand are entering a new phase in their musical journey also. I welcome that change for them, it wont be easy for the sound and vibe walking away from Paul, though change as stated earlier, is constant and will no doubt create a different and unique sound for them.
I am including a You Tube clip of the Brewsters playing with Paul, and then including a different clip without Paul. In both instances these clips are songs from the Angels repertoire, for which John and Rick are founding members and song writers.
I have also included a you tube clip of the Brewsters singing a great song called passing through, at a concert I was at and photographing at Tamworth a couple of weeks ago.
I am also including the poster I just created for the Brewster's that they will be using in their upcoming shows where I did the photography and design.
