Another creation...

I have just finished the 2010 calendar for the NSW Floral Art Association and it started selling at the Royal Easter Show which concludes tomorrow after a two week run here in Sydney. The calendar has not been done by the association previously and they were keen to test the water and see if it sold well. They have 1000 calendars and hope to have them all sold before December this year, I think they are selling them for $15 each which would give them an $8.00 each calendar profit.

I took many of the pictures in the calendar, but certainly not all. I don't always agree on the colour scheme or even the layout necessarily, but the nature of this aspect of work is simply providing what the client wants, and though I bite my lip occasionally from wanting things done differently for more of a creative, aesthetic reason, if they are paying the money, they will get what they want. I even created some spectacular background scenery for images of the flowers taken by other people. It was a very big job, but very satisfying.

The Floral Art association asked me to create the calendar as a fund raising initiative. It was arduous dealing with an association whose members all have differing feelings and thoughts, but with the help of Anne and Madhu, I created what you see here. I have two (2) to give away to the first two people who want one. Just email me!

If anyone reading this wants a tailor made calendar of their own, please feel free to let me know, I can create a full colour calendar for any fund raising initiative for a school, organisation or other cause for $7,000 including printing, artwork and taxes.

Let me know!

Oh Craig, this is exceptional! I loved all the months, but June is my favorite. It intrigues me for reasons I don't even know, lol. January, December, and July are not far behind. Each page is very well done!!!!!

I love going into floral shops and seeing all of the beautiful arrangements and smelling the aroma of fresh flowers.

I meant to add that going through these calendar pages was almost like being in a flower shop.
